Track 3 Recipients

Track 3 Grants are intended to support programs/events in a community practice setting, with a focus on cultivating an orthopaedic culture and workforce which supports all and represents the communities we serve.

  • International Orthopaedic Diversity Alliance - $18,000
    • The program is designed to connect mentors and mentees from around the globe, fostering growth, collaboration, and professional development across all career stages. Utilizing an online platform, the mentorship program is offered free to IODA members to support underrepresented groups in orthopaedics (e.g., women, racial/ethnic minorities, individuals from low-resource settings) by pairing mentees with experienced mentors who can offer guidance on career development, research, funding, leadership, and work-life integration.
  • Sabesan Orthopaedics Research Inc. - $2,800
    • YourMedMom (Mothers in Orthopaedic Mentorship Society – MOMS) is a national platform created by women for women in orthopaedics, offering mentorship, resources, and community to support career advancement, family planning, and wellness. The grant will expand its reach through webinars, conference sponsorships, podcasts, and published articles, fostering connections and guidance for women at all stages of their orthopaedic careers.
