AAOS Maintenance of Certification and General Orthopaedic Review Course
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:
- Analyze current clinical, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging studies related to oncology, upper and lower extremity, spine, pediatrics, and trauma conditions.
- Build a thorough understanding of the foundational knowledge necessary for Maintenance of Certification (MOC).
- Compare and contrast current operative and non-operative treatment options.
- Integrate evidence-based orthopaedic research into clinical practice across a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions.
- Understand the full range of surgical interventions for musculoskeletal disorders, including the indications and contraindications for each.
- Identify knowledge gaps and create an effective study plan to prepare for the MOC general examination.
- Recognize key topics covered in the MOC general exam and understand the exam format.
