2025 MVAS Prize Rules – Drawing 25 winners

Entrant Value and Survey (“MVAS”) Prize Winner Information

  1. No purchase necessary to enter the Drawing.
  2. Prize and Value: 25 $100 eGift cards.
  3. Eligibility: Drawing entrants must be AAOS members in good standing (“Entrants”). International members are not eligible to participate.  Entrants must complete the 2025 MVAS by October 7, 2025 to be eligible for the Drawing. The names of twenty-five (25) Entrants will be chosen and each will receive a $100 eGift card. AAOS employees and their immediate family Entrants, or anyone with whom they are domiciled are not eligible to participate in the Drawing. The Drawing is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. It is the responsibility of the Entrant to determine whether participation in the Drawing is permitted under applicable law.
  4. Survey and Drawing Dates: The MVAS will be open beginning September 3 and close October 7, 2025. The Drawing will be held on October 9, 2025.
  5. How to Enter: After completing the MVAS, the Entrant will be provided with the opportunity to participate in the Drawing.
  6. Winner Selection and Notification: The winning entries will be chosen at random from all eligible entries and winning Entrants (“Winners”) will be notified by phone, mail and/or e-mail within 72 hours of the Drawing. If the Winner does not respond within 7 days, that entry will be voided and an alternate entry may be selected.
  7. Additional Terms and Conditions: No cash substitutions or equivalents for the Prize will be AAOS reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event that a Prize becomes unavailable. AAOS is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries or technical issues that may affect participation. Federal, state and local taxes on the Prize are solely the responsibility of the winner. The Winner may be required to provide AAOS with valid social security number(s) or tax identification number(s) before the Prize will be awarded for tax reporting purposes. An IRS Form 1099 may be issued in the Winner’s name for the actual value of the Prize received.
  8. Dates & Deadlines/Anticipated Number of Drawing Entrants: AAOS reserves the right, in addition to those other rights reserved herein, to modify any date(s) or deadline(s) set forth in these Rules or otherwise governing the Drawing. AAOS cannot accurately predict the number of Entrants entering the Drawing.
  9. Name of Drawing Winner/Official Rules Requests. For the Winners’ names or to request a copy of these Rules, please contact AAOS at membership@aaos.org.
  10. Release: By participating in the Drawing, Entrants agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless AAOS and its directors, officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns (“Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims, liability, costs (including attorneys’ fees), losses, damages, fines or injuries of any kind arising out of or related to: (i) participation in the Drawing; (ii) any acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the Prize; (iii) the Released Parties’ violation of rights of publicity or privacy, claims of defamation or portrayal in a false light or based on any claim of infringement of intellectual property; and (iv) any typographical, human or other error in the printing, offering, selection, operation or announcement of any Drawing activity and/or Prize.
  11. Information Submitted. By entering this Drawing and voluntarily providing personal information (including, but not limited to name, address, telephone number and email address) (collectively "Entrant Information"), Entrants consent and agree to AAOS’s collection and use of the Entrant Information to administer this Drawing, and to comply with applicable laws and regulations. Entrant Information is subject to AAOS’s website terms of use and privacy policy. The Entrant also consents and agrees to AAOS’s use of their photographic image in future communications and/or promotional material solely in connection with AAOS activities.
  12. By entering the Drawing, Entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of AAOS, which are final on all matters relating to the Drawing. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Rules will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision of the Rules is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, the other provisions will remain in effect and will be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. AAOS’s failure to enforce any term of these Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision. The Drawing is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
