Total elbow arthroplasty for fracture has become a highly accepted procedure and has excellent results in long-term studies in the literature. These studies have largely reflected the results of Coonrad-Moorey, semi-constrained implants. Excellent outcomes have been seen in comparison to ORIF in individuals with compromised bone.This technique video demonstrates the Coonrad-Morrey technique for triceps-on, cemented, total elbow arthroplasty with bone-grafting of the anterior flange. Furthermore, demonstrates ulnar nerve management, soft tissue repair, and an ulnar-first technique. This is the technique that has been studied the most in the greater body of literature and is reflected along with surgical outcomes in the articles reviewed within.This video depicts the most recent technical aspects of this historically described operation adding emphasis on bone-grafting, cement technique, and specifically a "triceps-on" technique.
